The Fireman, Series 606b matt (DJ)

The Fireman 1962 was the 1st book to be issued in series 606b.  It was written by Vera Southgate and J Havenhand and, like all the books in this series, was beautifully, lovingly illustrated by John Berry.   This book is one of my earliest Ladybird memories; I loved all the exciting scenes of red fire-engines, dramatic rescues and the wondeful fireman’s pole scene.

This copy still has it’s original DJ – not price-clipped.  The DJ is in VG condition.  The book has a couple of names to the preliminaries but is otherwise in VG condition.    I believe this copy to be a first edition.
