The Story of Daniel, Series 522

The Story of Daniel was the 7th book to be issued in series 522.  (Other bible stories are to be found in an later Ladybird series: 606a.)

It was written by Lucy Diamon, illustrated by Kenneth Inns and was originally issued with a dust jacket.   It’s a pity that Inns didn’t illustrate many books for Ladybird; he had a lovely touch and sense of colour.

This copy still has its original dustwrapper, which has been price clipped.  The DJ is worn and chipped with a closed tear to the back panel as well as grubby marks.  The books, which has blue, open-winged endpapers, is generally speaking in good condition but there are the remains of a decorative book plate which has been stuck to the title page (see all photos).
