Your Body, 1967 (matt)

A Ladybird Book Your Body, 1967.  Series 536.

This book is written by David Scott-Daniell, with illustrations by Robert Ayton.

This book was a little controversial at the time as the endpapers show a man, woman, boy and girl completely naked.  It was probably the introduction to ‘the facts of life’ for a good many children – although the description of the birds and the bees is rather dry and crammed into a single paragraph – a bit like an uncomfortable school teacher trying to cover what had to be covered as quickly and clinically as possible.

This matt copy is in very good condition inside and out – the spine is rather worn but otherwise not much wear and nice, clean pages.

It dates to the 1970s and has the original price of 30p on the back.
