The Sailor, Series 606b

The Sailor 1967 was the 10th book to be issued in series 606b.  It was written by I & J Havenhand and, like all the books in this series, was beautifully, lovingly illustrated by John Berry.   This book shows the very white, very male world of the navy (mainly the royal navy) and includes images of Arc Royal.

This matt copy is in very condition inside and out – a bit rubbed to edges and corners and the odd grubby mark.  Also, I’ve just noticed a small repair to the front endpapers. It dates to the 1960s and has the original price of 2/6 printed inside.
