The Ladybird Book of British Wild Animals, 1958 (DJ)

The Ladybird Book of British Wild Animals.  Series 536.

This book is written by George Cansdale and illustrated by Roland Green.  This is the last of the two books that Green illustrated for Ladybird (the first being ‘Third Book of British Birds and their Nests’).  The Earliest versions of this book were originally issued with a dustwrapper.

This copy still has its original unprice-clipped DJ and both book and DJ are in exceptional condition.  They could almost have been issued yesterday but for a small nick to the spine panel and a small name and date to the front (white) endpapers which date the book to 1964. It would be hard to imagine a book of this vintage in better condition than this.
