The Story of The Motor Car, 1962 (DJ)

The Story of The Motor Car, 1962 was the 5th title in the long-running Achievements series, 601.  It was illustrated by the brilliant visual-storyteller Robert Ayton and was written by David Carey.  The colours in this book just sparkle and every picture is brimming with life and humour.  I remember using it to write a school project and then in art trying to do my own version of the picture on the front.

This book still has its original dustwrapper (not price-clipped).   The DJ is in Very Good condition but under the DJ it is cleaer that the book has been kept separate for long periods and has much more wear than the DJ.  The boards of the book are grubby and worn and there is some scribble to the back board – all of which, of course, is well hidden when the DJ is in place.  The pages are well used and well turned but in good condition generally.
